Waterfront Villa on Lago Maggiore
La Ca’ nella Poesia enjoys a 180-degree stunning view of Lago Maggiore, nestled on the road that runs along the Piedmont coast. This hidden waterfront home was designed in late 1980s out of an old water mill by one of Italians most acclaimed architects, Aldo Rossi. Refurbished in 2015 by current owner with attention to detail and subtlety while keeping the spirit of the predecessor.
The villa is located on the shore of the lake, with direct access to go swimming and sunbathing on the pebble beach (water level varies throughout the year). There is possibility to place a buoy for a boat right in front of the house.
A very private space but only a stone throw away from the center of Verbania (c.5KM) and Swiss border (c.20KM). This inconspicuous gem, built from local granite, consists of three storeys. The Basement, equipped with fireplace, serves as warehouse, party-playroom while the ground and upper level as living space. Ample parking lots within the enclosed area (by electric gate) as well as at the back of the house.
Ground level consists of: two entrance halls; one of which leads to expansive modern open-kitchen, laundry room, storage room, study/library, guest restroom, Grand Salon (living, dining, fireplace) that is connected to lake-facing balcony, spacious en-suite master bedroom under the wooden ceiling dating back to 1900.
Upper level consists of three-bedrooms, each with its own bathrooms, one study with fireplace. All bedrooms feature window doors leading onto a covered terrace/patio with great views of the lake.
